Clean Energy Venture Summit 2009 – Bringing the Smart Grid to Life.
The Freiezo™ Company attended the Clean Energy Venture Summit in Austin, Texason October 14th through 15th. The event was full of many clean energy experts from lawyers to engineers to investors. A summary of the CEVS 2009 can be found here.
The event started with a welcome reception complete with appetizers and live music. There were also presentations from the events hosts. The following day was all about the competition where 16 start-up companies presented their business plans for the clean energy product they were representing. Of the 16 companies competing 5 companies won their competitive section: Graphene Energy, Ideal Power Converters, IceCycle, Anzode, and Ecofit Lighting. The big winner was EcoFit Lighting. Following the competition, a networking reception occurred where attendees were able to connect and perhaps start shaping the scope of next year’s event.
